I am an Instructor of Economics and the Principles of Economics Coordinator at Virginia Tech where I teach over 1,500 students per year. Prior to that, I worked for the US International Trade Commission, the Urban Institute, and LECG, a now defunct international economic consulting firm. A new poll from Pew Research Center find that expectations for when young adults should be financially independent have gotten laxer over the years.

The price per square foot for homes in 27 areas across the country. in 2006 versus 2011.

Greece is being asked to cut it’s minimum wage as part of austerity measure imposed by the European Union.  Right now it’s stalled but it’ll probably go through.

Many believe the min wage there was too high and causing unemployment (now at about 20% in Greece).
